Mount Vernon Nazerene University – Prof Tuel

Prof Tuel was my college writing professor at Mvnu. He would start class of every day with a devotional, and try to twist the scripture To fit his liberal agenda. During the refugee crisis he read every day about helping your neighbor, and loving your enemy. Knowing that I’m a die hard conservative, he would give me a look, and say “something to think about with what’s going on in the world”

American University – School Campus

Students for Liberty and College Republicans planted Flags in the ground for Veterans Day. Within 1 hour – Administration began to remove the flags citing that “they obstructed campus rules.” We clearly had a permit to plant flags to support Vets.

Linn-Benton Community College – Rebeka Day

Near the end of the term the instructor asked the class if the United States would be considered a “terrorist nation”. I immediately raised my hand and called out “no”. She asked the question again in a very negative way. Without hesitation I gave a resounding “NO”. (I am a U.S. Army Vet) she went on a two minute long “vent” on how many countries/regions we “attacked/occupied/terrorized” in the name of “freedom” and before I could answer she “conveniently” moved on to the next lesson.

I am also the only conservative in a moderate/liberal student newspaper and I am in constant battle with my editors over my columns.

Central Washington University

My college republican chapter had posters advertising our latest meeting approved by the school. We had every single poster stamped with the seal of school approval (literally!). Our posters asked students “Should the media be able to mock religion?”, as a response to the “Je Suis Charlie” movement. They showed the magazine cover of Mohammed holding the “Je Suis Charlie” sign with what translates to “all is forgiven,” Charlie Hedbo’s response to the attacks. We walked all over campus hanging up posters on wednesday. Then I walk out of my political science class on Friday to see all the posters missing, only to discover that the posters were now missing all over campus. My college has a strict rule about not taking down posters, my college republican group also has a strict respect policy. We require members to be polite to all and not personally put down or d isrespect others views. Republicans get a lot of criticism for being hateful, sexist, racist, ect. but who’s really being hateful here?

Fitchburg State Univeristy – Professor Rhonda D. Evans

Couldn’t really point to a select example. Being in her Introduction to Sociology Class was morally taxing. Can’t really feel like I am doing the right the Lord intended for me to do when I forced to lie to keep my grades in the good state that they are currently. I have to fake it as a communist, talking like one and writing like one. I keep my head down all the time and have to admire the U.S. Army Veteran and U.S. Marine-Reservist who fight the teacher at every point, defending the constitution and western civilization’s values. However, its sad that the U.S. Army Veteran is being swayed to the Professor’s indoctrination while the Marine stands firm. The experiment data and research presented are often false or otherwise ignore the scientific method all together. All discussions tie back to the central theme of the wealthy, white, republican, racist, class controlling the wealth, media and politics of this country. The class serves only to demagogue the values of the Republican Party and further lull its students into socialist thought with factual basis. It intimidates those who chose to present other arguments or contrary evidence. I didn’t want to think my university could suffer the same sad fate of others, but it has unfortunately done so. The worst about this class is that its non-negotiable and is mandatory for my communications degree in film and video production, as it is for all other degrees. Conservative artists, writers and so on beware, for there is another hurdle to leap over in your pursuit of being the next Clint Eastwood.

Freed-Hardeman University

I attended a private CHRISTIAN university. Yes, you read that correctly. Not just a university that masks itself as being based on biblical principals, but one that aligns itself with one of the most conservative sects of religion in this day and age. I was completely astounded at the amount of liberal agenda that was not only being tolerated, but promoted. But, then, I had an epiphany. Of course a private, Christian school would be drowned in propaganda. A solid 90% of the student body attended public schools, which are government funded, and therefore founded on liberal principals. I was a self-proclaimed liberal in high school, simply because for 8 hrs. a day, 5 days a week, I was eating, sleeping and breathing the left’s agenda. Moral of the story: until public schooling stops pushing the crap, every campus in the US is going to be a liberal campus.

Hofstra University – Dr. Stacki

I took the American School with Dr. Stacki. I was responsible for doing a presentation on the topic of school choice and she gave me a couple articles to read to get me started. I’m going through them now and was shocked to see one that blatantly compared conservatives to the KKK. The article states “Conservatives introduced state laws designed to outlaw Catholic schools, Hebrew schools, and German schools organized by the many immigrant families trying to hold on to their heritage on these shores.” The article then states, “The Ku Klux Klan was a major advocate of these mandatory public school attendance laws.”

Central Michigan University – Student Body

Our school newspaper is notoriously liberal, although only conservative students are the ones to notice. Anytime the College Republicans do something or have an event, our newspaper fails to cover it, or they misquote us. For example, every year on 9/11 we place an American Flag for every person who died in the terrorist attacks. We contacted the school newspaper and gave them a press release and asked them to publish it in the newspaper. Weeks passed and it never got published. They finally replied by saying “your story just isn’t a priority”. Fast forward to next semester and they publish an article slamming the College Republicans for not doing anything on campus. The article stated that the only reason they are a liberal newspaper is simply because the other side never shares their opinion. The worst part was that the student body didn’t hear our side of the story so they believed the newspaper. Our twittered was blowing up with negative comments from all these students because “we don’t do anything”…

Central Michigan University -Prof. Stewart

My prof. is a very opinionated liberal. I have no problem with this because we all have our opinions and freedom of speech. However, any video he has ever shown in class has only knocked down the Republican party. He consistently calls out conservative students. Today he fought all the conservative students on the voter ID debate. He told the class that the Republican party is for voter IDs because they want to confine who can vote and that voter fraud doesn’t exist. He finished the class by showing a movie that talked of the corruption of the Republican party and the corruption of all the groups the Republican party touches. Including, wait for it…The College Republicans Organization…

Hollins University – Student Body

This November, Kate Obenshain will be coming to Hollins to speak about the Obama Administration. A vocal group of students is now protesting Ms. Obenshain’s speaking: they have circulated a petition asserting that allowing her to appear on campus would cause harm and “ruin the Hollins community” because they deem remarks she has made in the past amount to hate speech. Not only that, they have now gone as far as taking their petition to the school lawyers arguing Ms. Obenshain speaking goes against Title IX. As a Republican on the Hollins campus, I have been struck by the unfortunate degree to which dialogue on issues which matter to me has been strangled. Kate Obenshain is the first openly Republican person to speak on campus in seventeen years, and while the beliefs that she speaks of are different than the beliefs of those who would muzzle her, her s peaking on campus will not “ruin the Hollins community.” I believe very deeply that what ruins a community is the censorship of ideas, and the tyranny of ideological gangs whose primary aim is to silence other merely because they hold differing views.Republicans on the Hollins campus are routinely and unfairly attacked for our beliefs, to the degree that many are scared to even speak up about their beliefs in class, or in general conversation. I myself have been attacked by both students and, sadly to note, by professors; I have been called a racist, accused of being “anti-women”, and generally denigrated because I am a Republican. A community is ruined when its members are prevented from hearing opinions that a militant few do not agree with, and when those members of the community who do not agree with the majority’s beliefs are ostracized.
